We spent quite a while wandering around the tempestuous hillside, checking the many thousands of shake holes before eventually finding the unlocked metal grille at the entrance to Knock Fell Caverns.
Down the ladder Daz had brought along, we went through Transpennine passage, via Scotch Corner, and explored some of the best decorated parts of the cave. We entertained ourselves with a few crawls, squeezes, climbs and traverses and had a look at Myotis chamber before heading south to the decorations near Halfa Passage.
Good trip and we got to see loads of bits we hadn’t been to last time I was here. And now for the annual dinner.
