With few options available after recent torrid weather, we headed up leck fell. We saw Alex’s car so left him the copy of the rare NC1 I had got for him (he was in shuttleworth doing some shoring work).
Off to short drop then and a trip to see how far in gavel we could get. We actually got to the top of the 3rd pitch before heading back. I decided not to bother rigging the traverse in short drop as it’s a major faff so it was a quick, sporting trip with fairly high water levels making the exit more challenging.
We exited to a traditionally cold leck fell only to discover my car had a flat tyre!
