We had a great evening trip in Swinsto. I’ve always taken two 30m ropes for it, but following some hysterical WhatsApp advice we somehow ended up with a 50m and a 40m. With three of us, we took it in turns to rig the pull-through pitches. We’ve all been in there numerous times, but most of the cave could just be rearranged into a random order and we probably wouldn’t have noticed. The water levels were fairly low, but it’s always wet in Swinsto. We were pleased to find two ropes in situ on the Roof Tunnel pitch and were soon sampling the spicy nuts selection at the Marton Arms.
