Just for completeness…

Wanting somewhere to practice rigging and not sure of where to go I picked an old favourite of mine Tatham wife. The pitches complicated enough but not so deep to need lots of rope, if I was on my own. In the end I was joined by Shaman and Mike.

I rigged the first 4 pitches, down to the ramp. I had put a devi on the third pitch, but the others thought i got a bit too wet at the bottom, so re-rigged it as re-belay.

Once at the duck, me and Chris were both not feeling that great decided to try and traverse over the duck, but the with no rope protection it looked like a very hazardous and very exposed traverse. In the end I pushed through the duck and Shaman decided to wait. I joined Mike at the bottom of the pitch.

2. Mike opted for the duck straight way
3. Alex found Mike laying on the ground at the bottom of the last pitch – having a rest whilst waiting for the others to turn up

Yeh I thought I wrote you went straight through the duck but as often with me I think I had wrote something but had not.
