I met Dan at Inglesport at 9:30 and, following several changes of plan, we decided to do Roaring Hole, then Great Douk to Middle Washfold, then Ibbeth Peril 1.
Roaring was fun, plenty of climbs and no need for the srt gear and large tackle sack we carried down there. On the way back to the car we decided to have a quick look at Great Douk, which Dan had never done before. We went through quickly, then Dan walked back from Middle Washfold and I reversed the trip in 15 minutes.

We then drove up to Ibbeth Peril 1 (only about 15 minutes away) and the water levels were so low we climbed down the waterfall to get to the cave entrance. Both very impressed with the big chamber and the vadose passage up the inlet, we exited at about 3:30 and headed home. Three new caves for Dan, just Ibbeth Peril new for me, but my memory is so terrible Roaring might as well have been a new one.

Glad you both didn’t waste the day – apologies again.
